On Extended Movie Scenes and Popcorn
LWW Extended DVD Summons: February 24, 2007 :: Narnian Scribe: Mika Fabella

n Feb 24, 2007, TPON met yet again - this time to watch the much-awaited extended edition of the first Chronicles of Narnia movie, The Lion, The Witch & The Wardrobe, at the cozy place of Brash Young Cinema.
The 4 discs of the extended edition include extended scenes (particularly exciting battle scenes) and more features not just about the movie, but also about the books and C.S. Lewis himself. King Francis brought even the figures of the Gift Set, containing bookstands that feature Tumnus on the Lantern Waste, and Lucy going inside the Wardrobe.
Present in the screening were High King Rem, King Francis, Aravis, Steve, Kai, Fjel, and Anna, later joined by Mika, Mara and Chiqui. The group got comfy in the couches, put up their feet, & passed the popcorn (Holy Kettle Popcorn! Hmmm) as they enjoyed the movie.
After viewing the movie (added dogfights, springtime sequences, and all) TPON also watched one of the documentaries on the Extended Edition for an hour, C.S. Lewis - The Dreamer of Narnia. It followed Lewis's life through the Narnia books & what experiences may have led him to come up with the characters, places, and themes in them.
The Summons took place the whole afternoon (starting from 2:30 pm up to 6:30 pm) until the early evening when the group slowly parted. It was a great chance to see (and hold!) the fuller version of Andrew Adamson's successful movie adaptation, to learn more about Jack himself, and for friends to meet, greet, & reunite.
Until our next Summons!
